Common questions.

Which one should I book?

Ring us and tell us what you'd like help with. We'll recommend a treatment.

Do I have to undress?

For massage, you undress to your underwear and lie under towels. Only the area being worked on is uncovered. For reflexology, you only take off your shoes and socks. For Indian head massage, you stay dressed. Your therapist will tell you what to do before you start.

Is it going to hurt?

Deep tissue can be a little uncomfortable, but it shouldn't hurt. We agree the pressure with you and change it whenever you ask.

How often should I come?

Whenever suits you. Some people book when they feel sore or tight from training. Others book a regular slot every two weeks.

Can I book it alongside the other therapies?

Yes, and many people do. Tell us what your week looks like and we'll help you space them out.

Is this a medical treatment?

No. It's a wellness treatment to help with tension, comfort and rest. We don't diagnose or treat medical conditions. If you're under a doctor's or other clinician's care, follow their advice and tell us before you book.

I'm recovering from an operation.

Talk to us and to whoever is looking after your recovery. We'll only go ahead if they agree. Please tell us about any older surgery too.

Can I book while pregnant?

Tell us when you book. Some treatments are suitable with changes and some aren't. If we're not sure, we'll ask you to check with your midwife or GP first.

What is the oncology cancer care massage?

It's massage for people who are having cancer treatment or have had it, given by a therapist trained in this work. It's lighter and slower, and adjusted to how you feel on the day. Speak to your medical team first, and tell us what stage of treatment you're at when you book.
